Power Washing and Deck Staining
At Lifetime Painting Company, we proudly use Cabot Wood Stains for all of our deck staining needs. Cabot Wood Toned Deck & Siding Stain is specially formulated with a unique blend of resin and oil to provide a superior natural finish for bare wood. This distinctive product comes in five natural tones that not only sustains the natural beauty of exterior wood, but also provides excellent wood penetrating protection against the sun and all damaging weather elements. It’s water-repellent, to keep moisture out, guarding against warping and checking, while also providing mildew resistance.
At Lifetime Painting Company, our proven process includes the following:
- First, it is important to remove all patio furniture and plants, to gain full access to the work area.
- If the decking is old and weathered, the deck boards are pressure washed and cleaned, which leaves a fresh, clean surface to stain.
- Following this, one to two coats are applied to the decking, depending on the wood’s density and how well it absorbs the stain, in the color you select.
- Finally, after allowing the decking 48 hours to dry, all outdoor furniture and plants are moved back into their original position.
Easy to apply, requiring just one coat, Cabot Wood Toned Deck & Siding Stain slightly darkens wood when first applied leaving a flat and translucent finish. The finish then slowly weathers with time, to a natural wood hue, depending upon the color of product chosen and the particular wood type to which it was applied.
